The basic process for our Quaterlights:

• The frames are stripped, with main frame checked for accuracy and corrected accordingly

• The old chrome is removed, the main frame is crack tested with any splits or cracks silver soldered and re-checked for accuracy (silver solder is a hard solder that was originally used during manufacture of the frame, not brazing as is commonly assumed).

• All four pieces of the assembly (main frame, inner light, drip and quadrant) are re-chromed.

• New mounting studs are fitted along with the silent channel, top block, main and glazing seals. The hinges and handles are re-chromed and used if possible (the old ones are much better). If this is not possible we will fit new ones

• The quarter light is assembled with existing glass, we are able to fit new glass at an extra cost, however, we find this the new glass to be of lesser quality and a poorer fit)
